- The Chicken price in Week 18 was at 7.71RMB/KG, with m-o-m growth rate of 5.76%, and y-o-y growth rate 16.9%. Now in the market the price for chicken seems increase fast, but the reason is not because of the increase of end consumption, but lack of chicken in the market.

- Now the volume of livestock chicken is in low level, price increased to 4RMB, (Normally around 3RMB), which means it cost the slaughter houses more to buy live chicken to slaughter. Since they are losing money on slaughtering chicken so they reduce the slaughter rate, and only to fulfill the contract with regular customers. As the result, the amount of chicken in the market also decrease, so the price increase.

- However, the volume of livestock chicken may go back to normal level the next few months, so the price of the chicken is predicted to keep increasing in this month and fall back to normal in next few months.

- For week 18, Chick price is at 2.11 RMB/Animal, with m-o-m decrease rate of 8.26%, and y-o-y growth rate of 251.66%. The chick price is predicted to be fluctuating around 2-3RMB afterwards.

- The price for chicken mid joint wings in China market dropped continuously from week 9 to week 15, from 37RMB/KG to 33RMB/KG, decreased by 10.81%. And then rocket to 36.6RMB/KG in Week19, increase by 10.9%. The price of the chicken wings follow the step of the chicken price in China, which the price rebound because of the lack of chicken.

- The price for chicken whole wings in China market also showed the same trend as the mid joint wings which decrease to 19.5RMB/KG in Week 15 and went back to 20.2RMB/KG in Week 18.

- Like the situation in the import market, the price for chicken paws in domestic market also increase a lot from week 15-18.

Chicken Paws(Big) increase from 26.6RMB/KG to 31.5RMB/KG, increase by 18.42%.

Chicken Paws(Middle) increase from 21.3RMB/KG to 23.5RMB/KG, increase by 10.33%.

Chicken Paws(Big) increase from 18.6RMB/KG to 21.5RMB/KG, increase by 15.59%.
